First Renders of Motorola Moto P40 shows off punch hole camera and glass back

It seems like Motorola to have big plans on upcoming year we already seen leaks on the Motorola G7 series and new Oden version smartphone which are expected to announce at Mobile World Congress in February next year. However this year, The company faced a lot of challenges to standout in the competition with lead brands it looks like the company realised its faults and working to make the coming year better with its new handsets. Along with Moto G series smartphones, the company is reportedly working on the successor to the Motorola P30 which was launched earlier this year in its home country – the P40.

Motorola P40 Renders Leaked

This information exclusively came from OnLeaks in partnership with 91mobiles. As per the leak, it shows off the complete front and back panel design of the phone in a 360-degree video. The upcoming smartphone will feature a display with a punch hole to house the selfie camera. The Motorola now come into the track by following the handset design of recently unveiled  Samsung Galaxy A8s, Huawei Nova 4 and Honor View20 and is expected to become mainstream next year.

As per the leaks, the alleged Moto P40 is the company’s first phone to come with a punch hole display or in display front-facing camera. In recent times, more and more smartphone makers are planning to bring the punch hole display, chances of the technology ruling 2019 are high. Well, the Motorola  P40 is also following the same trend in something different way. While we look into the image unlike other phones, the selfie camera hole will be positioned in the top left corner instead opposite side. However, the diameter of the smartphone is not yet known.

Motorola P40: Rumoured Specifications and Features

Along with design details, the leak also revealed key specifications of the Motorola P40. Rumours suggest that The Motorola P40 would come with a 6.2-inch display thanks to in-screen camera as it avoids notched display. The renders show that it has thin bezels surrounding the display but there is a chin at the lower end of the device with Motorola branding on it.

There are no details on the on the processor that will be used on the P40 but the smartphone but interestingly the smartphone would come with a gigantic 48-megapixel rear camera as seen in recent v20. It is a vertically stacked dual rear camera setup but the resolution of the second camera is now known yet.

The renders also show the phone from the sides which reveal that on the left side there will be the SIM tray, while on the right there are the Volume and Power buttons. Motorola isn’t ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack as of yet and the jack will be placed on the top edge of the phone. The P40 will also come with USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, and mic hole on the bottom.

On the back, the Motorola P40 will feature 3D curved edges so that the users can have a good hand grip of the phone. The renders show that the back panel of the P40 will be reflective and is said to be made of glass and not plastic or metal.
