“This second period of exclusivity is understood to either be sixty or ninety days long – that is, on top of the thirty days for the Note 9,” AndroidHeadlines explains. “Which in total would mean that Fortnite’s arrival on Android is going to be locked in with Samsung for at least ninety days and possibly for as long as 120 days.” This means the Samsung Note 9 users will gain accessibility to Fortnite game first, then there will be a period where other Samsung smartphone users will get the chance to play it. However, the Fortnite for Android Samsung exclusive could last for up to four months.

Fortnite Game is Not Coming to Google Play Store

Moreover, the Fortnite game developers Epic Games announced that Fortnite won’t be downloaded through the Google Play store. As the team is decided to allow the users to download the game from their official sites only. So, Android users will be able to download it via Epic Games’ official website, presumably once the Samsung exclusive is over and done with. “Epic wants to have a direct relationship with our customers on all platforms where that’s possible,” said Todd Sweeney, EPIC’s CEO, in a piece published by The Verge. Furthermore, he added, “The great thing about the Internet and the digital revolution is that this is possible, now that physical storefronts and middlemen distributors are no longer required.”

Google also charges 30% for every purchase made within the app. So that Epic games will make more money in the long run by releasing it on the official website itself instead of the Google Play Store.
