Google has finally launched the new Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL at its ‘MadeByGoogle’ event held in New York today. Both the phones were leaked on the internet several times and it is finally unveiled by Google with some exciting features.
What’s New in Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL
Both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL ships in three new colors: The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will ship in either Just Black or Clearly White or Not Pink. As we reported earlier, both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL comes with Active Edge, that allows users to launch a certain feature by simply squeezing the two edge of the lower body. Both the new phones are IP68 water and dust resistant. Moreover, Google has added wireless charging support. The phones come with feature the latest feature called ‘Top Shot’ which uses AI to pick the best moments to take a picture. It also “automatically captures alternate shots in HDR Plus.” Google has also added “Playground” for AR stickers that work for both front and rear cameras.
Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Specifications
The Google Pixel 3 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The notch phone, Pixel 3 XL features a 6.3-inch QHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1440×2960 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The Pixel 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. On the graphics side, the devices pack an Adreno 630 GPU and backed by the 2915 mAh battery. Both these phones run on Android 9.0 Pie.
On the camera department, the Google sticks to its single camera setup on the rear and both the phones features 12.2MP resolution, paired with a wider f/1.8 aperture. Up front, there will be an 8MP + 8MP dual-cam set up. The Pixel 3 will have two front-facing cameras for Google’s “Group Selfie Camera” to get more details and scenes in the frame
The connectivity options of the devices include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with 2×2 MIMO, USB Type-C (v3.1) port, Bluetooth v5.0 + LE, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and Google Cast.
Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Price in India
Google Pixel 3 base model with 64GB storage is priced at Rs 71,000 in India while the 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 80,000. Coming to the Pixel 3 XL 64GB and 128GB storage variants, it will cost Rs 83,000 and Rs 92,000 respectively. Pre-orders of the phones starts from October 11, while the phones will go on sale from November 1.
