Honor 9X, Honor 9X Pro Unveiled – Price, Specifications & More

After a series of countless leaks and rumors, Chinese giant Huawei launched two smartphones in China—the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro. These new smartphones are the successor to last year’s Honor 8X that was launched in September 2018.

Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro Price and Availability

The Honor 9X is priced at RMB 1,399 (approx. Rs 14,100) for the base (4GB/64GB) variant while the 6GB/64GB variant is priced at RMB 1,599 (approx. Rs 16,100). The top-end variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs RMB 1,899 (approx. Rs 19,100).

The Honor 9X Pro starts at RMB 2,199 (approx. Rs 22,100) for the base 8GB/128GB configuration. The 8GB/256GB variant id priced at RMB 2,399 (approx. Rs 24,100).

The Honor 9X in its Phantom Red, Phantom Blue, and Magic Night Black colors would be available starting 17 May while the OnePlus 7 Pro in Nebula Blue would be available starting July 30. The Honor 9X Pro will be available in China from August 9, 2019, in Phantom Purple and Magic Night Black colors options.

Honor 9X Specifications

The Honor 9X comes with a 6.59-inch LCD display panel with an FHD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. It is powered by Kirin 810 octa-core chipset.

At the back, it sports a 48MP+2MP combination. The front-facing pop-up mechanism houses a 16MP camera. The handset is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the handset include Bluetooth 5, GPS, Wi-Fi, and dual SIM card slots.

Honor 9X Pro Specifications

Coming to the Honor 9X Pro, the phone is equipped with a 6.59-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. The smartphone is backed by an 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, the phone is backed by a triple-camera setup with a combination of 48-megapixel primary camera + an 8-megapixel secondary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it is equipped with a 16-megapixel pop-up shooter. The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery and it runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.1.1 skin. The device features an in-display fingerprint sensor and it is powered by the Kirin 810 octa-core SOC. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5, GPS, Wi-Fi, and dual SIM card slots.
