Another phone came into light beating Xiaomi 48 megapixel main camera phone which will arrive next month.T hat is none other than Huawei sub-brand honor took a step ahead leaving xiaomi back by developing an Honor View 20 with mammoth pixel main camera and also with a punch hole on the front which houses the selfie camera. This will be the first smartphone with a 48 MP camera, implementing the Sony IMX586 sensor.
Ever since after revealing dual rear and front camera technology many legendary brands are in a race to put forth their device with an incredible feature that attracts the customer. Huawei set the bar high with the launch of the P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro, which features a 40-megapixel main sensor. Now, Honor, the e-brand of Huawei has defeated it to showcase a smartphone with a 48-megapixel main camera. The official introduction of the smartphone Honor View20 took place in Hong Kong. Where the device brought a couple of innovative features in front.
The first one is it is the first phone to come with a 48-megapixel main camera but also the first to sport an in-screen camera. The company aims to provide an all screen experience with no need for mechanized components or sliders for the front camera.
Another breakthrough of the company is Magic Turbo – a technology allowing simultaneous Wi-Fi + 4G use, so the connection is not choking over poor public networks.
However, Honor skipped on revealing any specs of the upcoming smartphone, where there is no information in detail about features. The company did say the screen of the View 20 will have a 4.5 mm cutout for the camera, with the screen now called Full-View Display 3.0. The chipset will be Kirin 980 with its dual-NPU where it brings 48 MP AI HDR Mode main camera.
Talking about optics, the Sony IMX586 CMOS is on a massive 1/2-inch sensor (0.8 µm/pixel) and has the Quad Bayer colour array, stacking adjacent 2×2 pixels in the same colour. That means, the View 20 should shoot low-noise 12 MP pictures in low-light.Honor is now changing the trend from dual- or triple-camera setup to one huge main camera.
As per report claims that the phone will be officially announced on December 26 in China as Honor V20, while the global launch is taking place in Paris on January 22.
