Huawei has launched two new smartphones in China under the Honor V series today. These are the first 5G phones by Huawei are powered by the Kirin 990 chipset and come with five cameras – two at the front and three at the back.
Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro Specifications
Both Honor V30 and V30 Pro sport a 6.57-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixel and an aspect ratio of 20:9 plus 91.46 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, both phones gets powered by the 7nm Kirin 990 SoC paired with 6/8 GB RAM and 128/256 GB of storage. Honor V30 has the basic 7nm Kirin 990, coupled with the Balong 5000 modem for 5G connectivity, while the Pro variant has the 7nm+ Kirin 990 5G SoC that comes with an integrated modem.
Both the phones have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the software front, both phones run on Android 10-based Magic UI 3.0.1. Talking about the battery capacity, the Honor V30 has a 4,200 mAh battery with 40W Honor SuperCharge while the Honor V30 Pro packs a 4,100 mAh battery with 40W Honor SuperCharge and 27W Super Wireless Charge. However, the Honor V30 lacks wireless charging support.
In the camera department, the Honor V30 and V30 Pro comes equipped with 40MP Sony IMX600 sensor with Dual OIS and laser AF. Honor V30 Pro has a faster F/1.6 lens compared to the F/1.8 optics on the V30. Furthermore, it has 8MP telephoto cam with 3x optical zoom, F/2.4 lens and OIS. Honor V30 Pro has a 12MP sensor with F/2.2 lens while the V30 has an 8MP F/2.4 ultrawide sensor. Up front, there are 32-megapixel and 8-megapixel dual cameras for capturing 105-degree wider selfie shots on both the devices.
Connectivity features on both the phones include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and USB-C. The Honor V30 measures 162.7 × 75.8 x 8.9mm and weighs 213 grams while the Honor V30 Pro has 162.7 × 75.8 x 8.8mm and it weighs 206 grams.
Honor V30 Price
The Honor V30 comes with a price tag of 3,299 Yuan (appox. Rs 33,500) for the 6GB + 128GB variant while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs 3,699 Yuan (approx. Rs 37,600). It comes with Icelandic Fantasy, Magic Night Star River, Charm Star Blue, and Twilight Orange colour options.
Honor V30 Pro Price
The Honor V30 Pro 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at 3,899 Yuan (approx. Rs 39,600) and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs 4,199 Yuan (approx. Rs 43,700). It will be available for buyers in Icelandic Fantasy, Magic Night Star River, Charm Star Blue, and Twilight Orange colour options.
