Honor View 20 with In-screen Camera to Launch in January 2019

Honor has confirmed that it will be launching the Honor V20 in China on 26th December. The company will officially launch the Honor View 20 on December 26 in Beijing, followed by a global launch in Paris on January 22. According to some reports, the phone will also be launched in India around the same time.

According to industry experts the Honor View 20 will be released in India next month, but the release date is unknown. However, the global launch is scheduled for January 22, so we can expect that the release will be made at the end of January.

Honor View 20 – World’s First In-screen Camera Smartphone?

In a recent Hong Kong event, Honor’s General Manager of Product, Jimmy Xiong teased the upcoming Honor View 20. The device will sport a 4.5mm circular screen cutout to feature the front camera. There will be a big notch and the smartphone will have a impressive screen to body ratio of nearly 100 percent.

Major highlighting feature of this phone is the 48-megapixel camera, supported by the Sony IMX586 sensor. The Honor View 20 will be powered by a Kirin 980 chipset. Thus, the device can use AI functions and image processing in the chipset. It combines the technology of Huawei Light Fusion, combining several photos to obtain higher-quality images in low light conditions.

The Honor View 20 is expected to run on latest Android 9 Pie. Coming to the pricing, there is no information from the company. But, Jingdong Mall has already listed the Honor View 20 on their site with a price tag of 9,998 Yuan. However, this list indicates that this is not the official price of the phone. In fact, this phone is estimated to cost Rs. 29,000.
