Honor X40 5G and Honor Pad X8 unveiled: Check details

Honor launched its X40 5G smartphone and a new tablet called the Honor Pad X8 in China. Read on to know everything about the new Honor X40 5G smartphone and Honor Pad X8 tablet.

Those who opt for the 6GB + 128GB variant will pay RMB 1,499 (approx. Rs 17,095) while the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage models are priced at RMB 1,699 (approx. Rs 19,376) and RMB 1,999 (approx. Rs 22,798) respectively. A 12GB + 256GB configuration costs RMB 2,299 (approx. Rs 26,219). Honor X40 5G is available in Colourful Cloud, Mo Yuqing, and Magic Night Black colours.

Honor X40 5G is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 2,400 x 1,080-pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits brightness, 10-bit colour depth, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. 

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, the Honor X40 5G is equipped with up to 12GB RAM, 7GB of virtual RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. 

The back panel of the X40 5G has a circular camera module that houses two cameras. There is a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor. The front of the phone has an 8MP selfie camera. 

A 5,000mAh battery powers the smartphone, which supports fast charging at 40W. Honor X40 5G runs Android 12 OS and Magic UI 6.1.

Honor Pad X8 Price, Availability

It comes in Dawn blue and Mint green colors. Honor Pad X8  is priced at 1199 yuan (approx. Rs 13,674) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. There is also a 6GB+128GB model for 1299 yuan (approx. Rs 14,814). Currently, it is available for pre-order in China and will become available for purchase on September 22.Honor Pad X8 Launched

Honor Pad X8 Specifications

Honor Pad X8 houses a 10.1-inch LCD display that offers 1920×1200 pixel resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 224PPI pixel density, and an 80.6% screen-to-body ratio. The display panel supports the multi-touch feature, capable of up to 10 touches at once. 

Powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There is also a slot for an SD card for memory expansion. It runs Android 10 with Magic UI 4.0. There is a 5100mAh battery on board, which takes about three hours to charge fully.

In addition to its aluminum body, it has 1620 dual large-amplitude speakers, with a 2.2cc large sound cavity, and supports Honor Histen sound effects. In terms of connectivity, the tablet offers Bluetooth 5.1, as well as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, however, there is no 3.5 mm headphone jack. The device measures 240.2 × 159 × 7.55mm and weighs 460 grams.
