Huawei P40 Renders, Alleged Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch

Press renders of Huawei’s upcoming smartphone, called Huawei P40 have surfaced online. Along with this, the Huawei P40 Lite also leaked. The Huawei P40 is seen featuring a punch-hole design, and penta rear-camera setup. The leaked renders give us a look at the phone design.

According to the renders, the Huawei P40 will flaunt a premium design and the phone will come with penta camera setup at the rear. Upfront, there will be a dual-selfie cameras inside the punch-hole. It will come with a primary sensor along with a wide-angle lens. The phone will boast Waterfall display.

As per the leakster, the phone will feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 98 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

For photography, the penta-camera setup will include a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor with OIS support, a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 12-megapixel periscope lens, a macro sensor and a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor.

Powering all these will be a new 5500mAh graphene-based battery. The company might also introduce 50W flash charge, which the tipster claims can fully charge the device in 45 minutes.

In a separate post, tipster Rodent has revealed that the ‘Lite’ version of the Huawei P40, dubbed as Huawei P40 Lite will be launched alongside the P40. As per the leakster, the P40 Lite will be a rebranded version of the Huawei Nova 6SE. The company recently introduced Nova 6 SE in the home country China.

Huawei Nova 6 SE comes equipped with a 6.4-inches display with an FHD+ (2340×1080 pixels) resolution and a single punch-hole at the top-left corner of the display. Under the hood, it packs a Hisilicon Kirin 810 SoC coupled with ARM Mali-G52 MP6 GPU.

In the camera department, the quad camera setup on the rear comprise of a 48-megapixel sensor with Sony IMX586 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor with f/2.4 aperture and two 2-megapixel depth and macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There is a 16-megapixel front shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The handset is backed by a 4200mAh battery with support for 40W super-fast charging. On the software front, it runs on Android 10-based EMUI 10.0.1.
