(Leaked) Oppo F19 with All New 10x Lossless Zoom Camera

At the World Mobile Congress (MWC) in 2017, OPPO demonstrated a dual camera setup with 5x loseless zoom. According to recent patent documents, Chinese smartphone maker is currently working on a 10x hybrid optical zoom technology camera. Ice Universe, popular tipster said that an OPPO representative confirmed that in MWC 2019 tech expo in Barcelona, Spain in February the company will be showcasing the 10x zoom camera technology.

The patent sketch shows dual camera setup along with the LED flash. Unfortunately, there is no patent document describing hybrid zoom technology on the device. OPPO is renowned for its innovative smartphone and it has six research institutes and four R&D across the globe. The OPPO Find X that released this year is the world’s first smartphone to feature a camera slider.

The 5x loseless zoom technology introduced by OPPO last year at the MWC includes a dual camera module with a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens. The latter is hidden in the camera module in an innovate periscope-like structure. It also includes a prism to divert the light to the telephoto lens for deeper zoom. OPPO’s 5x loseless zoom technology is yet to be commercialized.

Rumors claims Oppo’s 10x zoom camera technology will be first seen on the OPPO F19 and F19 Pro phones. The F19 duo could be powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset and a notch-less screen. Perhaps, the F19 models may feature an in-screen camera hole display.
