A new Lenovo Tablet 6 5G was released in Japan. Aside from the 10.3-inch display, the new tablet has a Snapdragon 690 SoC, 5G compatibility, IPX3 & IP5X certifications for water and dust resistance, and a 7,500mAh battery. According to Lenovo, the tablet is the company’s first 5G device to be launched in Japan. This Lenovo Tab 6 5G tablet offers ‘Kids Space’, ‘Learning’ mode, and ‘PC’ mode.

As of now, Lenovo has not revealed its Tab 6 5G price. No information has been released on the Lenovo Tab 6 5G availability in Japan and other regions, including India. The tablet will be available in Abyss Blue and Moon White colour options.

There is a 10.3-inch TFT display with a screen resolution of 1,200×1,920 pixels on this device. Lenovo Tab 6 5G comes with a Snapdragon 690 5G SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. Despite its 64GB of built-in storage, you can expand it by up to 1TB using a microSD card. 

Among the new features of Lenovo’s tablet is ‘Kids Space’ designed for pre-schoolers. It is said to support their “discovery, imagination, and growth”. Using Google’s Family Link, parents and guardians can supervise the content consumed by children on the tablet. In addition, Lenovo Tab 6 5G offers ‘Learning mode’ for elementary school students that has a few apps and functions specifically designed to support learning. Last but not least, it comes with a PC mode that allows users to view apps in a split-screen mode and use simple application switching.

The phone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a similarly 8-megapixel front camera. Featuring a single Nano-SIM slot, it ships with Android 11 OS out of the box. On Lenovo Tab 6 5G, connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.1, and a USB Type-C port. In addition, it has facial recognition. There is a 7,500mAh battery inside, and it measures 244x158x8.3mm.
