Lenovo Z5s to be Powered by Snapdragon 678 SoC and Android Pie, Launch Date Revealed

After launching the Lenovo Z5 and Z5 Pro, Lenovo is set to launch another Z5 smartphone – the Lenovo Z5. Chang Cheng, vice president of the Lenovo Group, published a poster confirming the release of the phone on December 18.

The latest poster of the smartphone leaked online which indicates that the new phone works with the latest Android OS 9 Pie. But the most interesting part is that the Lenovo Z5 runs on a Snapdragon 678 processor. The Snapdragon 678 processor is yet to launch from Qualcomm.

The upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 chipset is unknown, but it is expected that the middle class chipset will focus on artificial intelligence and photography. This is slightly improved compared to Snapdragon 675. When the name is assigned, it is expected that there will be a chip between Snapdragon 675 and Snapdragon 710.

Lenovo used the smartphone, which meant “S” with speed, shoot and partition. This shows that the upcoming device will be a pretty good smartphone with great features and camera.

The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with 2240 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. It will feature an in-display front-facing camera.

It is also confirmed that the phone will come with triple rear camera sensors along with an LED flash. It is expected to have a camera configuration of 13MP + 5MP + 2MP. Up front, there will be a 8MP camera for selfies and video calling.

The phone is also expected to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Further, the phone will be powered by a 3,210mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 18W fast charging.
