LG K42 officially launched in India for Rs 10,990

South Korean company LG has finally launched the new smartphone in India. Dubbed as LG K42, the phone comes with a price tag of Rs 10,990. It will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart starting 26th January. Gray and Green are two color variants of the phone. The brand is also offering 2 years extended warranty along with a free one-time screen replacement.

The company said that LG K42 Passed the Mil-Std 810G test to prove its armor strong durability, K42’s durability has been verified by the strict US Military Standard Tests. The phone is sturdy enough to pass 9 categories of US Military defense standard including high temperature, low temperature, temperature shock, vibration, shock, and humidity, etc.

As for the specifications, the LG K42 features a 6.6-inch display that carries support for 720 x 1520 pixels HD+ screen resolution and the back panel of the device comes with a wave pattern and an anti-scratch UV coating.

The phone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek MT6762 chipset, coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is further expandable through a microSD card.

In the camera department, the LG K42 comes equipped with a quad rear camera setup comprising of a 13-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel superwide lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. On the front side, there’s an 8-megapixel sensor housed inside the notch.

The smartphone offers Android 10-based LG UX OS. Powering everything is a 4000mAh battery. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. There is a dedicated button for accessing the Google Assistant virtual assistant as well. Connectivity options on the LG K42 include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, micro USB port, GPS/ GLONASS, and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone measures 165 x 76.7 x 8.4mm and it weighs 182 grams.
