After launching Moto Z4 last month, Lenovo-owned Motorola is now preparing to launch its bigger 6th generation of Moto E series phones. The Moto E6 Plus, which appeared last month has now been spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench.
As per the Geekbench listing, the Moto E6 Plus will have the octa-core 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. Other specifications listed include 2GB RAM, as well as Android 9 Pie. The Mediatek’s Helio P22 uses eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores and an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is worth noticing that Moto E6 Plus scored 829 in single-core test and 3687 in the multi-core test.
On the other hand, the Moto E6 is expected to be powered by the 28nm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor with an Adreno 505 GPU. As per the XDA Developers Editor-in-Chief Mishaal Rahman, the Moto E6 will have 2GB RAM and will launch in 16GB and 32GB storage variants. In terms of optics, the device will come equipped with a 13MP S5K3L6 sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Up front, there will be a 5MP sensor with the f/2.0 aperture. As far as the display is concerned, it will boast a 5.45-inch sized display panel featuring 720 x 1440 HD+ resolution.
Both the smartphones are aimed at the mid-range segment and likely to launch in upcoming days. For now, there are no details on the pricing and availability details of both smartphones.
To recall, the company’s last smartphone Moto Z4 is launched with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display bearing a 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. The smartphone packs 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot. For photography, there is a single rear camera of 48-megapixel and a 25-megapixel front-facing snapper with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling. The device features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone runs on Android Pie operating system out of the box with the stock Android interface on top. The device is fuelled by a 3,600mAh battery with 15W TurboPower charging support.
