Motorola is gearing up to launch new Moto G7 series smartphone globally. The new smartphone is said to feature high-end hardware. While there have been plenty of rumors and leaks revealing the specs, one of the phones from the G7 series that is Moto G7 Plus has now been spotted on Geekbench benchmarks, further confirming its chipset and a list of key specifications.
According to the Geekbench listing of Moto G7 Plus, it features an octa-core processor that has a base frequency of 1.61 GHz. Along with Snapdragon 660 SoC, the Geekbench listing reveals that the device will come with 4GB of RAM, and run Android 9 Pie OS out-of-the-box. The device has managed to get a score of 1334 in the single-core test, and 4831 in multi-core test on Geekbench.
Previously, the entire spec sheet for the Moto G7 series was leaked accidentally by Motorola’s website recently. Earlier, the Moto G7 Plus was rumored to feature the same 6.24-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, 3,000mAh battery, a 16-megapixel primary sensor, and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor.
With the Moto G7 series, Lenovo-owned Motorola is clearly targeting the premium smartphone market, which is dominated by the likes of Samsung, OnePlus and Google. The Moto G7 Plus is going to be announced today at a launch event in Brazil where Motorola will announce multiple G7 variants. The Moto G7 series launch event will begin at 10 AM local time (5:30 PM IST) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Motorola fans can live stream the event on Motorola’s social channels.
