Motorola Edge 20 series launch in India teased officially

Motorola recently launched its Edge 20 series globally, and it appears that the smartphones will be coming to India too. There is no word on whether all three phones from the Moto Edge 20 series will launch in India or just a few of them. The company has confirmed the Edge 20 Fusion and Edge 20 so far.

Motorola Edge 20 Series

Motorola Edge 20 Fusion appears to be the rebranded Motorola Edge 20 Lite based on the teaser posted by the company on Twitter. A vanilla version of the Edge 20 has also been teased. Motorola has not yet provided an exact date for the launch of the Edge 20 series in India.

Motorola Edge 20 Pro, Edge 20 Specifications

Both of these devices have 10-bit OLED displays with a 6.67-inch resolution. The display also offers a DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR10+, Amazon HDR (only on 20 Pro), and a 144Hz refresh rate support. The Edge 20 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 870 SoC, while the Edge 20 packs a Snapdragon 778G processor.

Edge 20 Pro comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with UFS 3.1. Edge 20 comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the back of the phone is a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8 MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, and a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. A similar camera setup is also found on the Edge 20, however, it has an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There is no change in the wide-angle and primary sensors.

Both have a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. A 4500mAh battery powers the Edge 20 Pro, while a 4000mAh battery powers the Edge 20. The two devices offer 30W fast charging. Android 11 runs on the phones, and My UX is added on top of it. The phones are also protected against phishing attacks with ThinkShield for Mobile. There is 5G connectivity on both devices as well as Wi-Fi 6.

Motorola Edge 20 Lite Specifications

Motorola Edge 20 Lite offers the same 6.67-inch 10-bit OLED display with DCI-P3 colour gamut and HDR10+ support. The MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC runs the phone and its refresh rate has been lowered to 90Hz. This model comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

The rear of the phone has three cameras, including an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle camera, a 108-megapixel primary sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. There’s also a 32-megapixel front camera.

There’s a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a water-resistant design, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging in the Edge 20 Lite. It also ships My UX based on Android 11. Additionally, this phone supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6
