Motorola Edge 30 likely to launch in India on May 12

A few days ago, Motorola launched the Edge 30 smartphone in some global markets. This new Edge series phone succeeds the Edge 20, which was announced last year. Now, Motorola is preparing to launch the Edge 30 in India. Even though there is no official confirmation from the brand, a popular tipster has shared the India launch details of the Edge 30 smartphone.

Tipster Mukul Sharma revealed that the Edge 30 will be released in India on May 12th. Motorola is expected to announce the actual launch date shortly. Moreover, the Edge 30 will be India’s first smartphone with Snapdragon 778G+, and it will be one of the sleekest 5G smartphones available.

Motorola Moto Edge 30 Specifications

Moto Edge 30 comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate support. In addition, the 10-bit panel also supports HDR10+.

Stereo speakers offer support for Dolby Atmos. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, the handset packs 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It lacks a microSD card slot and 3.5mm headphone jack. 

The smartphone features a triple camera setup on the back, which includes a 50MP main camera with All-Pixel Autofocus and OIS which is paired with a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 118-degree field of view and a 2MP depth sensor. The ultrawide camera doubles up as a macro sensor. There is also a 32MP front-facing camera.

The handset comes preloaded with the Android 12-based MyUX layer. Powered by a 4,020 mAh battery, this device supports 33W TurBoPower fast charging capabilities. The device also has an IP52 rating.
