The new Pocophone is already in the development and the launch will happen in 2020. The company’s former Global head, Alvin Tse noted on Saturday that Xiaomi’s sub-brand will launch a new Pocophone next year.
Although the name of the next Poco phone is not yet known, it is almost certain that this will be called the Pocophone F2. While Alvin Tse did not reveal when it plans to launch the phone, he did mention in the tweet that the unveiling will happen next year.
In a reply to users asking about Poco F2, Alvin said that the fans will hear more from POCO in 2020 which confirms that we will see new POCO smartphones next year. Surprisingly, he deleted that tweet later. To recall, Alvin hinted that the company will not launch a new POCO smartphone this year, as he referred to POCO F1 as the 2018-19 flagship killer. Now, his removed tweet suggesting the arrival of a new Poco device in 2020.
The confirmation of Poco’s next phone also means that the next flagship phone from Xiaomi’s spin-off will get the next-generation Qualcomm SoC. It could be the Snapdragon 855 Plus– and will possibly come with a slightly higher price tag compared to what we see on the retail box of the Poco F1. We hope the company reveals more details about the phone in the coming months.
