OnePlus to Launch Thunder Purple Variant of OnePlus 6T In the Global Market Soon

After few rumors, OnePlus unveiled the new Thunder Purple color variant of OnePlus 6T in China last week. Now, the company said that the new Thunder Purple color variant is set to arrive at the global market soon.

OnePlus teased the Thunder Purple variant for the global market on its official Twitter handle. OnePlus tweeted a teaser image of OnePlus Thunder Purple variant along with a message that read, “Elegance infused with the brilliance of thunderstorms. #ThunderPurple is coming”. The image teased the new color with a velvet-looking material in purple with a OnePlus logo.

The company has not revealed the exact launch date, November 30 may be the launch date in some regions. The device will launch at the same price as the Mirror Black and Midnight Black for the OnePlus 6T in India.

The new OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple variant comes with gradient finish back, which enhances the overall look of the smartphone. The gradient finish makes the device look premium in-hand. The specs packed inside the OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple is also the same as the other variants.

To recall, OnePlus 6T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and the smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. This is the major highlight of the OnePlus 6T.

Coming to the cameras, the device features a 16-megapixel primary and 20-megapixel secondary camera sensor on the rear and an aperture of f/1.7 for the primary lens. OnePlus 6T comes with a new Nightscape scene that optimizes the photos taken during the night. The Portrait Mode in the phone comes with Studio Lighting that essentially shifts the focus on the subject as it becomes more engaging in the frame in comparison to the other elements. The OnePlus 6T is backed by 3700 mAh battery which is bigger than its predecessors and it will also support the company’s proprietary fast charging (previously known as Dash Charging). The OnePlus 6T ships with the OxygenOS running on top of Android 9 Pie.

Talking about the pricing, the OnePlus 6T comes in three variant — the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at Rs 37,999. Whereas the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage come with a price tag of Rs 41,999, while the top end variant comes packed with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage sells for a price tag of Rs 45,999. As OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple variant comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, it is expected to retail for Rs 41,999 in India.
