OnePlus, which frequently rolls out tiny bits of details regarding the upcoming smartphones on social media, recently revealed its plans to launch the affordable smartphone called OnePlus Z. Today, let’s check out the reason and the hints that point towards the OnePlus Z launch.

The Co-Founder of OnePlus Carl Pei, tweeted the picture of the company’s first phone, OnePlus One with a caption  “It’s been a while.” Based on this tweet, we can expect the OnePlus Z smartphone to launch much below its expected price tag. As per the recent update, the phone could be priced under $300 (approx. Rs 22,500).

As far as the specifications are concerned, the OnePlus Z is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000 SoC or the Snapdragon 765G with 5G connectivity. The device is likely to ship with a USB Type-C port, Android 10-based OxygenOS, 4000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. Other rumored features of the OnePlus Z are 6.55-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate panel and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Talking about the camera setup, the OnePlus Z reportedly packs a quad-camera setup on the rear consisting of a 64-megapixel main sensor with ultrawide, depth, and macro camera sensors. Upfront, it might feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor housed within the punch-hole cutout. Furthermore, it is likely to launch in two different storage configurations: 8GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/256GB storage.
