OPPO has launched a new smartphone in China, the Oppo A97 5G. It is a mid-range smartphone from Oppo that comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, 90Hz refresh rate, dual rear cameras, and stereo speakers with support for Dirac Audio. The device has a flat-sided frame.

Oppo A97 5G comes with a single 12GB + 256GB memory configuration in China, with a price of CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 23,600). There are two color options available: black and blue. The smartphone is available for pre-order and will go on sale from 10 AM CST on July 15.

Oppo A97 5G is equipped with a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and a pixel density of 269ppi. The handset uses the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC coupled with 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Moreover, it can be expanded through a microSD card.

It features a dual rear camera setup on the back, which includes a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. There is also an 8-megapixel camera for selfies on the phone.

An Oppo A97 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It boots Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. The handset has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 5.8, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
