Oppo Ace2 to launch on April 13; specifications, features

Oppo is now gearing up for yet another smartphone launch in its home-country China. The company is confirmed to launch the new Oppo Ace2 in China on April 13. As the name suggests, the Ace2 is going to be a successor of previously-launched Oppo Reno Ace.

Oppo Vice President Brian Shen, in his Weibo post, confirmed the launch date of the launch of Oppo Ace2, however, the Indian launch date is yet to be announced. However, he did not include Reno in the name of the smartphone. He only mentioned Oppo Ace2. So, it seems the brand is dropping the Reno branding from the successor of Reno Ace.

As per the previous TENAA appearance, Oppo Ace2 will come with the Snapdragon 865 chipset which supports 5G via X55 modem. It is expected to be available in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB variants.

On the front, there will be a 16 megapixels shooter in the top left corner for selfies and video calls. There will be a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone will feature a dual battery packed inside and the rated capacity of each battery is 1,955 mAh. The device will also come with a 65W wired charging and 40W wireless charging to quickly top up the battery. It will run on Android 10-based ColorOS 7 skin. Unfortunately, we don’t have any other official information on the phone at the moment. We’re expecting more leaks to come forward in the coming days.
