Oppo F15 launched in India as a rebranded Oppo A91: Price, specifications, and features

As expected OPPO just unveiled its latest F-series smartphone in India – the Oppo F15. The phone is identical to the recently announced Oppo A91 and comes with the same set of specifications.

Oppo F15 Price and Availability

In India, the Oppo F15 is exclusively available via Flipkart and Amazon. The single variant of the Oppo F15 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage s priced at Rs. 19,990. The phone will go on the first sale in India on 24th January.

Oppo F15 Specifications, Features

As mentioned above, the entire spec-sheet of the Oppo F15 is pretty much similar to the Oppo A91. The phone is powered by the 2.1GHz Helio P70 octa-core processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage. 

On the front of the phone, there’s a 6.4-inches full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. According to OPPO, the 20:9 waterdrop notch display of the OPPO F15 offers a screen space of 90.7 percent. The display is embedded with a fingerprint sensor. The TUV Rheinland approved screen can filter harmful blue rays and it also carries support for DC dimming. 

Moving onto the cameras, the Oppo F15 features quad cameras on the rear side. As for sensors, we get a 48-megapixel main lens with f/1.7 aperture, a 119-degree 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with f/2.25 aperture that can capture macro shots of up to 3cm, a 2-megapixel mono lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front of the phone, we have a 16-megapixel with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera features of the Oppo F15 include EIS, AI beautification while video shooting, night scene mode, and portrait mode.

The handset runs Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 out of the box and there’s a 4,025mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge technology. Oppo claims to deliver a 50 percent battery capacity in only 30 minutes with its 20W rapid charging technology. The handset measures 160.2 x 73.3 x 7.9mm and it weighs 172 grams. The device also supports playback of Widevine L1.
