Oppo K9s to be launched on October 20

The Oppo K9s smartphone will be announced on October 20 at 2 PM (local time) in China. Now, Oppo has confirmed key features of the Oppo K9s ahead of its launch.

According to Oppo, the K9s display will have a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 778G chipset and an X-axis linear motor. It has been confirmed the phone will come with a triple-camera set up at the back that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor.

Additionally, the Oppo K9s will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 30W VOOC rapid charging. On the bottom edge of the handset are a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, a microphone, and a speaker grille.

Previous leaks suggest that the phone will come with a 6.59-inch FHD+ panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 778G chipset coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. The storage is further expandable via MicroSD. 

The device could be powered by a 4880mAh battery with fast charging capabilities of 44W. A fingerprint reader will be located on the side of the phone.

In terms of optics, the rear setup should consist of a 64-megapixel main lens, 8-megapixel secondary camera as well as a 2-megapixel camera. The front of the phone will have a 16-megapixel selfie camera. It will run Android 11. Buyers can pick from three different colors, such as Magic Purple Quicksand, Neon Silver Sea, and Obsidian Warrior.
