Oppo R15 Nebula Special Edition debuts in China, Goes on Sale Online Today

Oppo has launched a Nebula Special Edition for the Oppo R15 in China. The Chinese company collaborated with Egyptian industrial designer Karim Rashid and the device sports his signature towards the back of the smartphone too. The rear of the Oppo R15 Nebula Special Edition comes with a blue-pink-red colour gradient that glows in the light as well.

Here are features and specifications

It has the similar specs as that of Oppo R15 existing edition. Oppo R15 is equipped with a 6.28-inch Full HD+ OLED display with an Apple iPhone X-like notch and an aspect ratio of 19:9.

The phone is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.

The phone is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot.

For Shutterbugs and selfies

The phone is backed by a dual camera setup at the rear. The primary camera is of 16-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX519 sensor, 1.22-micron pixel size, Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), while the secondary camera comes with a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

Battery

The Oppo R15 is backed by a 3450mAh battery with VOOC Flash charging, which the brand claims can offer talk time of 2 hours with 5 minutes of charge.

Software

It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is based on Color OS 5.0.

On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C and Dual-SIM support. The Oppo R15 measures 155.1 × 75.2 × 7.4mm and weighs 175 grams.

Price and availability

The Oppo R15 Nebula Special Edition is priced at RMB 2,999 (approximately Rs 31,900) and is available for pre-order starting May 19. Additionally, for RMB 200 (approximately Rs 2,100) more, you can also get a pair of custom JBL earphones. The offline sales commenced on May 20 in China while the Online sales would run concurrently on JD.com, OPPO’s official website and other e-commerce platforms.
