A series of leaks have made OPPO‘s Reno series the talk of the town recently. Fresh leaks reveal OPPO Reno 9 series retail packaging and key specifications ahead of the official launch.

According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OPPO Reno 9 series will use MediaTek Dimensity 8000 and Snapdragon 778G SoCs. Furthermore, the brand may be the first to adopt the newly introduced Universal Fast Charging Specifications (UFCS) launched by the China Communications Standards Association on September 29th, 2022.

To those who are unaware, the Universal Fast Charging Specifications aim to promote fast charging technology’s development by being a sole universal standard that will be valid on an industrial scale.

A leaked retail box for the OPPO Reno 9 series appears white in color and features the Reno logo at the top, along with a huge ‘9’ embedded at the bottom-right corner of the box. Sadly, the design of the handset is not disclosed by the leak.

OPPO Reno 9 Series Specifications

The tipster states that the Reno 9 will come with a Qualcomm SM7325 processor (Snapdragon 778G) inside, whereas the Reno 9 Pro will pack MediaTek 6895 chip (Dimensity 8000). 

Furthermore, the Reno 9 will feature a 64MP main sensor, whereas the Reno 9 Pro might have a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor.

According to previous leaks, the Reno 9 series will include a 5,000mAh battery and an AMOLED display.
