Oppo will be launching new smartphones in the Reno5 series very soon. The company is expected to launch three new smartphones in the new Reno5 lineup: Oppo Reno 5, Oppo Reno 5 Pro, and Oppo Reno 5 Pro Plus. The phones will be launching on December 10.

Oppo confirmed the launch date of the Reno5 series on its official Weibo account. The post mentions Oppo “Star Diamond Rejuvenation series” will debut on the slated date.

Ahead of the official release, tipster Digital Chat Station shared an image of the three rumored Oppo Reno 5 smartphones showing the front panel design. Two of them feature a curved display while another one has a flat display. It is assumed that the Oppo Reno5 Pro and Reno5 Pro Plus could come with a curved display while the base Reno 5 may sport a flat display. Further, the shared image shows that the Oppo Reno5 series smartphones will have a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera and thick chin. 

Oppo Reno5 series specifications, pricing

In terms of specifications, another tipster Sanyi Life shared an image of the back of Oppo Reno 5 alongside the key specs. As per the image, the phone has a quad-camera setup and Reno Glow branding on the back panel. It will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G processor and support 65W fast charging technology.

As per the earlier rumors, Oppo Reno5 will feature a 6.43-inch full-HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to come equipped with a triple rear camera setup with a combination of 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, and two 2MP sensors. It is expected to pack a 4,300mAh battery that supports 65W charging.

Talking about the pricing of the Oppo Reno5 series, rumors claim that Oppo Reno 5 will be priced at CNY 2,999. Oppo Reno 5 Pro could have a starting price of CNY 3,799 while the Oppo Reno 5 Pro Plus will cost CNY 4,499. We will learn more details on December 10.
