Google has launched the Pixel 5a 5G as a very minor upgrade over last year’s Pixel 4a 5G. The phone has water resistance certification, a large battery, a slightly bigger screen size, and a metal unibody design compared to its predecessor. Google Pixel 5a 5g

The phone is available in the US for $449 (approximately Rs 33,300). The Pixel 5a 5G is already up for pre-order in the US and Japan on the Google Store. Furthermore, shipping will begin on August 26. There’s no word yet on when the device will be released in India or in other countries.

Pixel 5a 5G Specifications

Google’s Pixel 5a 5g features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of only 60Hz. The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset, 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of storage. The device comes with a 4650mAh battery that supports fast charging at 18W. This phone is equipped with dual cameras on the back: a 12MP f/1.7 primary camera and a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera. The Pixel 4a 5G has the same rear-camera setup. It has an 8MP f/2.0 front-facing camera. Unfortunately, Google has dropped support for laser auto-focus on this phone.

In addition, the device comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and is IP67-rated, thus being water- and dust-resistant. In terms of connectivity, the phone offers Wi-Fi 2.4GHz + 5GHz 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and 5G.
