Google has confirmed that the Pixel 7 series will be launched in India. Earlier this year, Google introduced its Pixel 6a 5G. The Pixel 7 series which consists of two models will debut in the US on October 6.
At the Google I/O event in May, the new Pixel flagships were teased. Google’s upcoming Pixel phones will be sold on Flipkart.
According to a Flipkart microsite, the company is launching its flagship smartphones. As of right now, the listing doesn’t reveal the Indian launch date for the phones. Nevertheless, the new Google smartphones are expected to launch in India in October or November.
The listing has revealed some of the key specifications of the upcoming Pixel phones. With the 7 series, Google will introduce the new Google Tensor G2 chip. With the new SoC, Google claims the Pixel phones will offer even more helpful, personalised features to photos, videos, security, and speech recognition.
Moreover, the company previously revealed its 2022 Pixel flagship smartphones design. The rear panel of both phones has a horizontal visor at the top portion for the cameras. In addition to its dual cameras, the Pixel 7 also features an LED flash. As for the Pro model, it has a triple-camera setup. According to reports, both phones include a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera as well as a 48MP telephoto camera on the Pro model.
7 Pro is expected to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display, while 7 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch 90Hz OLED display. A hole-punch cutout will be located in the top center of the curved screen of the Pro model. The upcoming Pixels will also come with a 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging support. These Pixel phones will ship with Android 13 out of the box.
