Poco announced that the Poco M5 will be released globally on September 5. Additionally, the smartphone will be launched in India on the same date at 5:30 PM IST. The design of the smartphone has already been confirmed, and leaked specs suggest it will be powered by the Helio G99 SoC.
The Poco M5 is scheduled to launch on September 5 at 5.30 PM IST through a virtual event that will be broadcast on its social media accounts and YouTube channel.
In terms of design, Poco M5 will feature a dual-tone design similar to its previous models. The camera array of the design will stretch from end to end. The device’s front-facing camera will be housed in a water-drop notch.

Poco M5 4G reportedly features a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution. In addition, it is expected to have a 90Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset combined with 4GB and 6GB of RAM.
According to reports, the phone will run Android 12-based MIUI 13. Additionally, it will have a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. As far as connectivity is concerned, the smartphone should feature dual SIMs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
Poco M5 Price (Expected)
There are rumours that the device will cost under Rs 15,000 in India. It will compete in this segment with some Realme C-series phones and Narzo series phones, including Narzo 50, Realme C35, among others. The official price of the smartphone will be revealed on September 5.
