Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i will launch in India on September 9. The company announced that both smartphones will launch in India on September 9th, 2021, at 12:30 PM IST.
Madhav Sheth, the CEO of Realme India and Europe, tweeted the launch date. The Realme 8s 5G will also pack MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip, he confirmed. Thus, Realme will be the first smartphone brand to launch Dimensity 810-powered device in the world. The Mediatek Dimensity 810 is built using the 6nm high-performance manufacturing node. It offers Arm Cortex-A76 CPU speeds up to 2.4GHz.
As for the Realme 8i, it will be fuelled by the Helio G96 SoC, which was unveiled by MediaTek in July this year.
In India, the Realme 8s 5G will be available for purchase on Flipkart. The e-commerce site already created the landing page to tease the upcoming phone’s features.

Realme 8s Specifications (Expected)
According to a recent leak, the Realme 8s will feature three rear cameras arranged in a square array. There is also a flash below the camera setup and a more subtle ‘Realme’ branding.
It has a volume rocker on the left and an integrated fingerprint sensor on the power button. On the bottom are the speaker grille, the USB Type-C port, and the 3.5mm audio jack. At the bottom, you’ll also find the primary microphone. In addition to the blue color seen in the renders, the phone could be available in other colors.
The Realme 8s will feature a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip, which is a 5G processor. It will have 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of storage.
A 64MP primary camera will be found on the back of the device, while there are no details on other sensors. The front of the phone will have a 16MP camera. It will come with a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The phone runs Android 11 OS and comes with Realme UI skin on top.
Realme 8i Specifications (Expected)
Realme 8i features a 6.59-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A MediaTek Helio G96 processor powers the device with 4GB of RAM and 128GB (UFS 2.2) of internal storage. It has a triple camera module on the back consists of a 50MP primary sensor, 2MP portrait camera, and 2MP macro camera. It has a 16MP front-facing camera. The device is likely to come with a 5,000 mAh battery and at least 33W fast charging.
