Realme is getting ready to launch its new Realme 9 series. Previously, these were rumored to debut in October of this year, but during the company’s launch event for the Realme 8s and 8i, the company revealed that they will debut in 2022.

Francis Wong, CMO of Realme, tweeted that the company had to change its roadmap due to the global chip shortage. Based on the latest report by 91mobiles, the Realme 9 series will launch early next year.

A report from 91mobiles, citing tipster Mukul Sharma, indicates these smartphones will debut in February 2022. It appears that the launch event may take place during the last week of January 2022, according to the tipster. Moreover, the report states that the 9 series will have four models – the Realme 9, the 9 Pro, the 9 Pro+/Max, and the 9i. Possibly, the company will launch its entire Realme 9 lineup of smartphones over two separate events.

Multiple certification websites have spotted the Realme 9 series family recently, indicating their imminent launch. Recently, the IMEI database revealed the Realme 9 Pro with the model number RMX3393. The Realme 9i, with the model number RMX3491, the Realme 9 Pro Plus, and Realme GT 2 Pro were also spotted on EEC certifications, indicating an imminent global launch.

Currently, there is no information on the specifications of the Realme 9 series smartphones. According to 91mobiles, the Realme 9 Pro Plus is expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. The device may have an AMOLED display and a 108MP primary camera on the rear.
