The Realme GT and the Realme GT Master Edition are coming to India on March 20. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth announced the launch date. During the CEO’s latest ‘AskMadhav’ episode on YouTube, he announced that the two smartphones would be announced on August 18.
Sheth added that the Realme GT 5G specs will be similar to the global variant. Additionally, Realme GT will be available in India in the same color combination as the global version. It comes in Dashing Silver, Dashing Blue, and Racing Yellow (leather variant).
The brand is also set to launch Realme GT Master Edition. However, there’s no official confirmation on the launch date of GT Master Explorer Edition. In China, both phones were released last month.
Realme GT 5G, Realme GT Master Edition Specifications
Both the Realme GT 5G and GT Master Edition feature a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. The GT 5G comes equipped with a Snapdragon 888 processor, 12GB RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage. GT Master Edition is powered by a Snapdragon 778G SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
This phone comes with a Stainless Steel VC Cooling System that improves heat dissipation. There is a GT mode on the device that boosts performance. There is a linear vibration motor in this phone, as well as a 4D vibration motor.
With a 5000mAh battery and 125W fast charging, the Realme GT 5G can reach full charge in 35 minutes. A 4300mAh battery powers the Master Edition, which supports 65W fast charging. Both have an in-screen fingerprint sensor. On the software front, the handsets run Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0.
The phones have triple cameras on the rear and the setup includes a 64-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens 119° ultra-wide sensor with f/2.3 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The Realme GT 5G also features a 16-megapixel front camera with an f/2.5 aperture. There is a 32-megapixel IMX615 selfie camera on the Master Edition.
The Realme GT 5G weighs 186 grams and is 8.4mm thin. Connectivity features include 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack.
