Realme has unveiled two new smartphones in the Q series – the Q5 and Q5 Pro – in China. Both the smartphones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs. To recall, the company recently launched Realme Q5i in the home country.

Realme Q5 Pro

It will go on sale in China via the Realme website on April 27.

Realme Q5 Specifications

Realme Q5 features a 6.6-inch full-HD+  LCD display with a screen resolution of 1,080×2,412 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, along with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD.

In terms of optics, the Realme Q5 packs a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 aperture lens, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens. At the front of the phone is a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an aperture of f/2.05.

It has connectivity options such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side of the phone. A 5,000mAh battery powers the device along with 60W fast charging. The phone runs the Realme UI 3.0 OS based on Android 12.

Realme Q5 Pro has a 6.62-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. Realme Q5 Pro packs an eight-core Snapdragon 870 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

In the camera department, the device features a triple rear camera system composed of a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter with an f/2.25 aperture lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera sensor with an aperture of f/2.45.

The phone offers connectivity options such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The phone also has an under-display fingerprint sensor. Powered by a 5,000mAh battery, it supports  80W supports fast charging. Software-wise, it ships with Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0. It also features a stereo speaker setup and an X-Axis linear vibration motor.
