Realme Teases 64MP Quad Camera Smartphone Launch in India

After launching the Realme X in India, Oppo’s spin-off Realme is gearing up for the launch of another smartphone, and the highlight of the smartphone is its quad-camera setup at the back. The company had confirmed that it will bring the smartphone to the Indian market and the company has announced that it will showcase the 64-megapixel quad-camera smartphone tech next week in India. The launch will take place in New Delhi on August 8, and the timings are yet to be revealed by the company.

The teaser shows four camera lenses and the “64MP” writing. While that’s the only piece of information we have about the teased Realme quad-camera smartphone, we received an early hint about Realme’s upcoming smartphone with 64MP camera, last month.

The company’s CEO Madhav Sheth also confirmed that India will be the first country to get this new 64MP camera phone. According to the earlier reports, the handset would use Samsung’s new 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 image sensor with 4-in-1 pixel technology to merge four 0.8 micron pixels into a single 1.6-micron pixel to deliver 16MP photos in low-light settings and 64MP images in brighter conditions.

Other than the primary 64-megapixel wide-angle lens, we could also see a telephoto lens; an ultra-wide-angle lens; and probably a ToF camera.

The Xiaomi spin-off company Redmi is also set to launch its 64-megapixel camera phone power later this year. It will be interesting to see the 64MP primary camera phones in the market and we don’t have a long wait to know more about the smartphone.
