Realme X2 Pro and Realme 5s Launched in India: Everything you need to know

Oppo’s spin-off Realme has now finally unveiled the much-anticipated Realme X2 Pro and Realme 5s smartphones in India. Let’s have a detailed look at the specifications and features of both the new smartphones from Realme.

As a part of the launch offer, the new Realme X2 Pro comes bundled with Osmo Mobile 3 handheld smartphone camera stabiliser. This foldable device is quite compact to lug around, and is equipped with a 3-axis gimbal technology. The stabiliser has gesture control and essentially helps videographers in taking less shaky footage via smartphones, and also looks to offer a less blurry image for photographers as well.

It can be paired with mobile using Bluetooth 5.0 and DJI Mimo app to access features like digital zoom, face-tracking for focus and centring the camera. The Osmo Mobile 3 comes with a 2,450mAh battery which lasts for up to 15 hours on a single charge. The device supports 10W charging through a USB Type-C port.

Realme X2 Pro Specifications

Realme X2 Pro boasts a 6.5-inch (2400 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 20:9 aspect ratio Fluid AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display with 402 ppi and 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone has 91.7% screen-to-body ratio, HDR10+ support, DC Dimming 2.0, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection and 135Hz touch sampling rate. On the software side, the handset runs Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 on top. The device packs a 4000mAh battery with 50W (10W/5A) SuperVOOC fast charging.

Under the hood, it is fuelled by Snapdragon 855+ SoC clocked at 2.96GHz, paired with upto 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the camera department, it comes with a quad rear camera consisting of a Samsung GW1 64-megapixel lens with f/1.8 aperture, a telephoto lens of 13-megapixel with support for up to 20x hybrid zoom, an ultrawide lens of 8-megapixel with 115-degree field-of-view and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Up front, there is an 16-megapixel AI camera that has support for super night scene along with 4-in-1 pixel merging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, GPS, NFC and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone also comes equipped with stereo dual speakers coupled with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio technologies. The handset measures 161×75.7×8.7 mm and weighs 199 grams.

Realme X2 Pro Price, Availability and Launch Offer

The Realme X2 Pro is launched in two variants. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 29,999 while the 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage comes with a price tag of Rs 33,999. Interestingly, the Realme X2 Pro comes bundled with Osmo Mobile 3 as a part of the welcome offer. Realme also announced that it will launch Realme X2 in India in December.

Besides these two variants, the company has also announced a master edition of Realme X2 Pro created by renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa in Red Brick and Concrete colour. This special edition of RealMe X2 Pro costs Rs 34,999 which comes witg 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The first sale for this will be held during Christmas time.

Talking about the availability, the Realme X2 Pro will be available for buyers on Flipkart and the company’s official website Realme.com starting November 26 as a part of invite-only sale. It will be available for buyers in Neptune Blue and Lunar White colour options. For the launch offer, there will be Jio benefits worth Rs 11,500 and no-cost EMIs for up to 6 months.

Realme 5s Specifications

Realme 5s sports a 6.51-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) display with a waterdrop notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with upto 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. On the rear, it has a fingerprint sensor.

In terms of optics, there is a quad camera set up at the back with the diamond-like pattern that include a 48-megapixel primary sensor with Samsung GM1 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, LED flash, EIS, 8-megapixel 118° ultra-wide-angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.25 aperture, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel camera for 4cm macro with 1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture. For the front, the phone has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone runs Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie and comes with a 5,000mAh battery.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port and dual-SIM support. The phone measures 164.4 x 75.6 x 9.3mm and weighs 198 grams.

Realme 5s Price and Availability

The Realme 5s has been priced at Rs. 9,999 for the base model with 4/64GB configuration. Whereas, the 4/128GB variant is pitted for Rs. 10,999.

Realme 5s on the other hand will be available for sale on Flipkart and Realme.com starting November 29. Launch offers on the Realme 5s include no-cost EMIs and up to Rs. 7,000 benefits from Reliance Jio. It is launched in Crystal Red, Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple colours.
