Xiaomi has silently introduced a new Redmi device in the Chinese market – the Redmi 10A. The new Redmi 10A is also powered by an entry-level MediaTek Helio G25 SoC like its predecessor. The company has added a fingerprint reader for added security.

Redmi 10A Specifications, Features

The Redmi 10A sports a 6.53-inch HD+ LCD display with a 1600 × 720 pixel resolution, 400nits brightness, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a waterdrop notch.

Redmi 10A is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor, along with a PowerVR8320 GPU, 4GB/6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB storage. There is also a dedicated micro-SD card slot for additional storage. 

The Redmi 10A features a 13MP rear camera and an LED flash. While the camera island on the Redmi 10A looks similar to that of the Redmi 10C and Redmi 10, it only has a single camera on the back. There is a 5MP camera on the front.

The handset runs Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 skin. It has a 5000mAh battery with support for 10W charging via a micro-USB port. The device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz only), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, AGPS, and Beidou, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It weighs 194 grams and measures 164.9 × 77 × 9.0mm.
