The Redmi 9 Prime has gone official in India, today. The company has unveiled the phone under the new Redmi Prime series. With a starting price of Rs 9999, the Redmi 9 Prime comes with some impressive features like an FHD+ display, Helio G80 processor, 5020mAh battery. The phone will also come with a free case and a pre-installed screen protector. 

Redmi 9 Prime Specifications

The 6.53-inch screen of the phone has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The Redmi 9 Prime arrived with the octa-core Helio G80 processor under the hood paired with ARM Mali-G52 GPU. The SoC has coupled with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB storage. For more storage, users can add a microSD card to the device to expand up to 512GB. 

There is a 5,020mAh battery inside the Redmi 9 Prime. It supports 18W fast charging. It is fitted with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front of the phone. The back panel of the device has a quad-camera system. It comprises of a 13-megapixel primary lens, an ultrawide sensor of 8-megapixel, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a depth assist lens of 2-megapixel.

The Redmi 9 Prime runs on Android 10 OS along with MIUI 11. The connectivity features that are available on the Redmi 9 Prime are dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. Other key features of the Redmi 9 Prime are reading mode 2.0, dark mode.

Redmi 9 Prime price in India and sale date

The Redmi 9 Prime will go on sale in India on 6 August during the Prime Day sale. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at Rs 9,999 whereas the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage base variant costs Rs 11,999. The phone comes in some attractive color options such as space blue, mint green, sunrise flare, and matte black.
