Redmi 9A launched in India with Helio G25 SoC, 5,000mAh battery

Xiaomi India today launched a new smartphone in India Redmi 9A. It is a budget smartphone which comes with several features.

Xiaomi Redmi 9A Price, Availability

As for the price, the Redmi 9A comes in Midnight Black, Sea Blue and Nature Green colors and is priced at Rs 6799 for the 2GB + 32GB model. There is also a 3GB + 32GB variant priced at Rs 7,499. The phone will go on sale in India on September 4 at 12PM (noon) via Mi.com, Mi home and Flipkart.

Xiaomi Redmi 9A Specifications

Xiaomi Redmi 9A sports a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is fuelled by a 2GHz octa core MediaTek Helio G25 processor and also has IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Paired with 2GB of RAM, the phone packs 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 512GB via microSD card slot.

On the rear, you get a single 13-megapixel camera and a selfie shooter of 5-megapixel. Unfortunately, the phone lacks fingerprint sensor.

The phone ships with 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging. The company also stated that the new Redmi 9A battery has q Enhanced Lifespan Battery (ELB) technology which is said to last three years without losing capacity.

The handset boots Android 10-based MIUI 11 which will be upgradable to MIUI 12. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C.
