Redmi K30 Pro 5G Official Teaser Reveals Launch Date

The Chinese brand Xiaomi has finally announced to unveil its ‘Pro’ version of recently launched Redmi K30 in China on March 24. The brand has teased the arrival of its upcoming Redmi K30 Pro smartphone. The phone is scheduled to launch on March 24, 2020, in the home country China as a successor to the Redmi K20 Pro.

Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed any specifications of the Redmi K30 Pro ahead of its unveiling, but the phone is likely to debut as the cheapest phone with the Snapdragon 865 SoC. That being said, there has not been any official confirmation from the company about this as yet.

Furthermore, the upcoming Redmi K30 Pro 5G is expected to launch in two models: the standard model and Redmi K30 Pro 5G Zoom Edition. The Redmi K30 Pro 5G Zoom edition is tipped to feature a telephoto lens and OIS support. In terms of optics, both the variants will pack a quad-camera setup on the rear with a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel primary sensor.

As usual, there will be surprises, with the teaser hinting at the pop-up selfie camera on next-generation Redmi phone. The pop-up camera module of the phone may feature as many as two cameras. Going by the previous teaser of the phone, the Redmi K30 Pro 5G will launch with a notch-less OLED screen like the predecessor Redmi K20 Pro. The handset is likely to sport a 6.67-inch full HD+ display with an in-display fingerprint reader and 120Hz refresh rate.

The device is tipped to ship with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. In terms of battery, it reportedly features a 4,700mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. An earlier report also suggested that the phone will launch with a starting price of around 3,000 Yuan (approx. Rs 31,760).
