Redmi K30 Pro May Launch as Poco F2 in India: Report

Earlier this year, Xiaomi has launched a new smartphone dubbed as Redmi K30 in China and later they introduced it in India as Poco X2. Now, as per the report, Xiaomi will soon introduce the recently launched Redmi K30 Pro in the Indian market as Poco F2.

The Redmi K30 Pro is the successor of Redmi K20 Pro which was launched in India last year. If the report has to be believed then the Redmi K30 Pro will be called Poco F2 in India. Thus, the Poco F2 will succeed Xiaomi’s highly successful phone, Poco F1.

During decompiling the latest version of the MIUI Camera app of recently released MIUI 11 beta update, XDA Junior Member Kacskrz found references to a model names “Imi” and “Imiin.” The device code-named “Imiin” is expected to be the Redmi K30 Pro Indian variant, since the K30 Pro is code-named “Imi. ” It is worth to mention that the code revealed that pictures shot with “Imiin” will display the watermark “SHOT ON POCO PHONE,” suggests the launch of Redmi K30 Pro in India as Poco F2. 

While it is still unclear when the Redmi K30 Pro will be arriving in India, but it is expected to be priced under Rs. 30,000.

Redmi K30 Pro Specifications

Redmi K30 Pro has a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, HDR10+, 100 percent DCI-P3 Color Gamut and 800nits brightness. 

On the rear, the quad-camera setup includes a combination of 64-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture, a 5-megapixel telephoto lens with 3cm to 7cm macro and portrait shots, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 123-degree FoV and a depth sensor. 

The device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 5G SoC along with Adreno 650 GPU. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Other sensors on the phones include an in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor. 

Ticking the phone 4700mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. On the software front, it runs on Android 10 based on MIUI 11 skin. Connectivity features include G SA/NSA Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz) MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1 + L5), NFC, USB Type-C and dual-SIM. The phone measures 163.3 x 75.4 x 8.9 mm and weighs 218 grams.
