Redmi K50i, Redmi Buds 3 Lite introduced in India

Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has released the Redmi K50i in India. The key highlights of the newly launched Redmi device are MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, a 144Hz AdaptiveSync display, 12 5G bands, liquid cooling, and an IP53 rating. Alongside, the brand also launched Redmi Buds 3 Lite in the country.

In India, Redmi K50i comes in two variants. The base model with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage costs Rs 25,999 while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant priced at Rs 28,999. 

The device is available in Phantom Blue, Stealth Black, and Quick Silver colour options. It will be available starting July 23 at 12 AM IST through Mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Home stores, Croma outlets, and retail stores.

Cardholders of the ICICI bank can avail of an instant discount of up to Rs 3,000 with EMI and non-EMI transactions. 

Redmi Buds 3 Lite Price in India, Availability

Redmi Buds 3 Lite comes with a price tag of Rs 1,999 in India and will be available at a special price of Rs 1,499 only for two days. It will go on sale from July 31 via Amazon in Black and White color options.

Redmi K50i Specifications

Redmi K50i comes with a 6.6-inch LCD display with a 2,460×1,080 pixels screen resolution, 144Hz seven-level refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate, 20.5:9 aspect ratio, HDR10 support, and DCI-P3 colour gamut. In addition, the display is Dolby Vision certified and has full DC dimming support.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, accompanied by up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. In addition, there is a vapour cooling (VC) chamber for thermal management. 

Software-wise, it boots Android 12-based MIUI 13 skin. The handset will get 2 years of major Android upgrades with 3 years of security patches.

Redmi K50i has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW1 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor with 120-degree FoV, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. There is a 16-megapixel camera on the front of the device.

In terms of connectivity, the Redmi K50i offers 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition, the phones has dual stereo speakers that are backed by Dolby Atmos.

The Redmi Buds 3 Lite come with 6mm dynamic drivers that are tuned by Xiaomi Sound Lab. There is no ANC, however, the company claims it offers decent noise blocking through a noise reduction algorithm. There is also a low latency gaming mode.

It comes with touch controls so the user can adjust the volume, reject/answer calls, turn off game mode, activate voice assistant, and more. The buds offer Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and USB Type-C charging.

Talking about the battery, it is claimed to offer up to 18 hours with the charging case. The earbuds last for up to 5 hours on a single charge. In addition, the buds are IP54 rated and feature ENC.
