As part of its Redmi Note 12 series, Xiaomi has launched Note 12 5G, Note 12 5G Discovery Edition (aka the Note 12 5G Explorer Edition), Note 12 Pro 5G, and Note 12 Pro+ 5G. 

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is also the first smartphone in the series to come with a new 200MP rear camera sensor. The company is using Samsung’s 200MP HPX sensor on the phone. Here are the price, specifications, and availability details of the newly launched Redmi Note 12 series.

Redmi Note 12 Series Specifications 

Specification-wise, all three phones are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. The Note 12 Pro and Pro+ 5G come with a larger 5000mAh battery, while Note 12 Explorer Edition uses a smaller 4350mAh battery. Talking about the fast charging capabilities, the Note 12 5G supports whopping 210W fast charging. On the other hand, Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ 5G come with 67W and 120W fast charging support, respectively.

The three devices all come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 900 nits of peak brightness, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content. They boot MIUI 13 out of the box. 

In terms of camera setup, the Note 12 Pro+ 5G and the Note 12 5G Explorer Edition pack triple rear camera module led by a 200MP Samsung HPX sensor that features an f/1.65 aperture and support for optical image stabilization (OIS). In addition, the smartphone has an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The phones come with 16MP cameras on the front for taking selfies.

On the back, the Note 12 Pro 5G has a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 16MP camera on the front of the device.

The Note 12 Pro+ 5G weighs approximately 298 grams. The Note 12 Explorer Edition weighs 207.5 grams, while the Note 12 Pro weighs 187 grams. All three phones have 3.5mm headphone jack.
