Redmi Note 7 Deliveries Delayed in China Due to Production Accident

Xiaomi in China launch event last week unveiled a new Redmi Note 7 model. Overall, the new Redmi Note 7 is a great upgrade to the Redmi Note 6 Pro. However, according to the report from GizmoChina, Redmi Note 7 deliveries reportedly delayed in China due to production accident.

The Redmi Note 7 is released only in China, went on a second flash sale and the company announced that it sold all the units within 8 minutes and 36 seconds. During the second flash sale, all the units were out-of-the-stock within minutes. Moreover, above 410,000 users registered on JD.com to buy the Redmi Note 7.

“The company’s executives revealed through Weibo that the company faced the problem of delayed deliveries because of an accident in the production line. However, the company reaffirmed that the issue has been resolved and the deliveries will be made within the specified time of seven days,” GizmoChina reports.

Redmi Note 7 Specifications

Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. Interestingly, the Redmi Note 7 is the first Redmi phone with a USB Type-C port instead of typical MicroUSB. The device backs 4,000mAh battery which is compatible with 18 watts quick, wired charging.

The Redmi Note 7 sports a metal unibody design and bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. As expected, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC in the country. The smartphone comes with a gradient glass-like back finish and carries a new “Redmi by Xiaomi” logo on the back.

The new Redmi Note 7 features a whopping 48-megapixel (Samsung GM1 sensor) camera on the back which has an aperture of f/1.8 and secondary camera of 5-megapixel for depth-sensing. Xiaomi claims the 48-megapixel sensor employs pixel-binning to take better shots at a 12-megapixel resolution with larger 1.6-micron pixels. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with standard beauty and AI modes.
