Xiaomi officially unveiled the all-new Redmi Note 8 series in the country. Under this series, Redmi introduced Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones in the market.
Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro Price:
Redmi Note 8 comes in two RAM variants, 4GB RAM + 64GB which is priced at Rs 9,999 and the other variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage comes for Rs 12,999. On the other hand, Redmi Note 8 Pro comes in three variants, the base variant with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at Rs 14,999, the 6GB RAM + 128GB comes for Rs 15,999 and the top-end variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB comes with a Rs 17,999 price tag.
Both of these smartphones are designed with Aura Design philosophy. Redmi Note 8 is introduced in Neptune Blue, Moon Light White, Space Black, and Cosmic Purple and the Redmi Note 8 Pro come in Gamma Green, Halo White, and Shadow Black color options.
The all-new Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will go on sale starting October 21 in India on Mi.com, Amazon, and Mi Home store.
Redmi Note 8 Specifications
Redmi Note 8 features a 6.39-inch display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Both the front and back of the smartphone are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with RAM up to 6GB and storage up to 128GB. It runs Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 which can further updated to MIUI 11. Redmi Note 8 also comes with a built-in Alexa application. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery which also supports 18W fast charging.
To talk about the cameras, it sports four cameras on the back comprising of a 48MP primary camera, 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens camera, a 2MP depth sensor camera, and another 2MP macro lens camera. On the front, it has a 13MP camera for selfies.
Redmi Note 8 Pro Specifications
Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 6.53-inch FHD+ Dot Notch display with a 91.94 percent screen-to-body ratio. Same as the Redmi Note 8, both sides of this smartphone is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support out-of-the-box.
It runs Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 which can be upgraded to MIUI 11. Similar to the Redmi Note 8, it also comes pre-installed with the Alexa app.
Redmi Note 8 Pro comes powered by MediaTek Helio G90T along with RAM up to 8GB and onboard storage up to 128GB. Interestingly, this is the first smartphone in the world to come with this chipset. It also comes with a Liquid Cool system.
Redmi Note 8 Pro also comes with a quad-camera setup on the back comprising of a 64MP primary camera, 8MP 12o-degree ultra-wide-angle lens camera, and 2MP macro lens camera. On the front, it comes with a 20MP AI-powered selfie camera for best selfies.
