Xiaomi Redmi Y2, has been launched in India on Thursday at an event held in New Delhi. Some of the major highlights of the Redmi Y2 includes a vertical dual camera setup at the back, and an AI-powered 16-megapixel selfie camera. The Redmi Y2 will be available in India in three color options of Dark Grey, Rose Gold, and Gold. It is also the latest offering in the company youth-centric and selfie-focused Redmi Y-Series of smartphones.
Redmi Y2 Price in India, Launch Offers
Redmi Y2 price in India has been set at the cost of Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage variant and Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB onboard storage model. The smartphone will be made available on one of the largest ecommerce platform Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores starting from 12th of June, while offline partner stores will get it in a few weeks.
Operating System and Display
Xiaomi always provide the latest operating System in its device with OTA upgradation, as on this device it also has latest Android 8.1 OS Oreo out-of-the-box, and sports a 5.99-inch High Definition+ (720×1440 pixels) with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Processor and RAM
With respect to processor, there is no competitor of Xiaomi in this, this smartphone is powered and supported by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC (up to 2GHz), which is paired with 3GB/ 4GB of RAM.
Camera
On the photography department, the Redmi Y2 sports a vertically stacked dual camera setup on the back, with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with AI-based capabilities. On the front department, the smartphone has a 16-megapixel selfie Super Pixel sensor with features such as an LED selfie-light, AI Beautify 4.0, and Face Unlock capabilities.
Storage
On the storage department, the Xiaomi always provide the best storage which will be sufficient to store lots of photos, games and video in smartphone. On this smartphone there is 32GB/ 64GB of inbuilt onboard storage on the smartphone, which can be extended further via microSD card.
Battery
The smartphone is powered by a battery of 3080mAh which is non removable one on which the company has claimed “full-day” battery life powers the internals from underneath the hood.
