Samsung Galaxy A20e Clears FCC Certification; May Launch on April 10

South Korean smartphone giant, Samsung has already established its presence in the mid-range segment by launching new phones under Galaxy M and A series with great specs at affordable price. Now, it seems the company is working on another device under the Galaxy A series as the device has appeared on the FCC certification site.


Now, as per the report, the Samsung Galaxy A20e has received the FCC certification which hints at a closer launch date. The document below carries the model number SM-A202F, and it revealed the whole set of LTE bands that the handset will support, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.

Though the specifications of the device are not present in the FCC listing, the document mentions that the device supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n in addition to Bluetooth.

As per the FCC listing, the Samsung Galaxy A20e measures 147.4 x 69.7mm. The display of the phone diagonally measures 148.2mm. Thus, the device will have a 5.84-inch display.

The FCC documents have also revealed that the handset is fueled with the EB-BA202ABU battery. Even though the exact size of the battery is not known yet, the earlier reports have claimed that the device will be packing a 3,000mAh battery. Also, it will be bundled with EP-TA200 charger that will supports 15W rapid charging.

When it comes to the camera department, the smartphone is rumored to feature dual camera setup on the rear that comprises of 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. An 8-megapixel selfie sensor is rumoured to be placed on the front. On the software front, the handset is likely to run on company’s custom One UI based on latest Android 9 Pie.

Regarding the release date of the Samsung Galaxy A20e, nothing much has been officially stated. As the device has cleared the FCC certification, it gives clear indication that the release date of the smartphone is not too far away. As we know, Samsung will be launching new Galaxy A-series smartphones on April 10, we expect Galaxy A20e to launch on the same date.
