Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is an upcoming smartphone from the South Korean brand which is launching as the cheapest 5G compatible phone in Samsung’s catalog. Now, ahead of the launch, the company has revealed the full specifications alongside the images on the official website. The smartphone will feature a recently introduced Snapdragon 750G SoC. The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will sport a 6.6-inch infinity-U AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. It will get fuel from a 5,000 mAh battery with support for the 15W fast charging through USB C. For security, it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. 

Under-the-hood, the device sports Qualcomm’s recently announced Snapdragon 750G SoC. It features 4GB/6GB/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM coupled with 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage along with a Micro-SD card slot.

Speaking of cameras, the handset will pack the quad-camera set up in a square module. The setup will include a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2 aperture), a 5MP depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture), and a macro lens of 5MP (f/2.4 aperture). For selfies and videos, it will sport a 20MP camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will be offered in colour options – Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White, and Prism Dot Gray.
