Samsung is expected to come with a bunch of mid-range smartphones with a moniker Galaxy A-series in coming months. The widely expected models are to be the Samsung Galaxy A10, Galaxy A20, Galaxy A30, Galaxy A50, Galaxy A70, and Galaxy A90. The upcoming Galaxy A50 which said to offer premium features is getting nearer to launch as this smartphone was certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG last month.
This smartphone with model number SM-A505F and SM-A505F/DS variants is certified in at the US FCC hinting its launch is imminent. The FCC Filings doesn’t reveal the complete specification of the upcoming device but with a few important details. As per the FCC Filings, The handset will sport a 6.22-inch display and will have the dimensions of 158.5mm x 75.5mm. Furthermore, the listing confirms that the device will come with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity options.
Some of the earlier reports suggest that the handset will come with a waterdrop-style Infinity V notch atop the display like Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones. The most important piece of information is that the leaked image shows an elongated cut-out for the rear camera setup that will reportedly accommodate three sensors. That means that phone is said to offer triple-camera setup on the back, similar to the Galaxy A7 (2018) with a 25 Megapixel primary rear camera. The smartphone is tipped to flaunt an in-display fingerprint sensor and wireless charging capabilities. The device is expected to be powered by an Exynos 9610 processor. In terms of memory, the Galaxy A50 is rumoured to include up to 6GB of RAM and come in two different storage variants: 64GB and 128GB.
The smartphone is expected to launch sometime in the first half year and will run on the Android Pie operating system out of the box.
