Samsung Galaxy A8s Gets FCC Certification

Samsung is already working on another bezel-less smartphone to introduce and we have came across several leaks and rumors about the device. Few rumors hinted that Samsung is coming up with a bezel-less display with a circular cut out for selfie camera. Recent rumors revaled that the Samsung A8s likely to debut as the first Samsung phone with Infinity-O design display. Now a Samsung device with a codename SM-G8870 has appeared on FCC for certification. It could be Samsung Galaxy A8s, which has been taking the rumour rounds. Popup on the FCC site suggests that its international launch may not be far away. The FCC listing confirms that the Galaxy A8s will come with an Infinity O-display.


The FCC approval of the SM-G8870 has revealed that it is armed with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LW, NFC, ANT+ standards. The other details of the device on the FCC listing include 158.4 x 74.9mm dimensions, USB-C port, 3,300mAh battery. Also, there could be Samsung’s proprietary Adaptive battery charging technology support available on this device according to the rating it has seized (i.e. 9V-1.67A). To recall, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is also lanched with same sized battery.

The Samsung Galaxy A8s rumors have revealed that the device will be 6.39-inch IPS LCD display. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 710 chipset and it will equipped by 6 GB of RAM and an 128 GB of internal storage. The device will have a microSD card slot for further expansion of storage.

The display of the Samsung Galaxy A8s is expected to feature a 24-megapixel front camera. The back panel of the phone is expected to include 24-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 10-megapixel triple camera.
